School Forest

The Lakewood Foundation has provided a beautiful school forest for the students to use. The preschoolers have full access to the forest and use it daily. The teachers have found that the extra time outside has proven to increase student motivation, concentration, confidence, all while developing a deeper connection to the natural environment of the great outdoors. 

Here at Little Lynx Preschool we know that Nature provides limitless opportunities for children to discover, create, problem solve and more. We believe that when children interact with the natural environment, they learn by doing and experimenting with ideas. When playing in nature, children think, question, make hypotheses, all while getting exercise. All of this combined promotes inquisitive minds and healthy bodies.

Preschool students enjoy unlimited access to the beautiful school forest, through free play and guided lessons, our students get to enjoy all of the benefits of the forest and we consider this one of the greatest aspects of our school.
